TACT ENGINEERING GROUP LTD in association with its partners Ethio Infra Engineering PLC and Advanced Engineering Solutions is awarded the construction supervision of Rehabilitation of the Kafue - Mazabuka Road (T1) in Southern Province – Lot 2: Chikankata Turn off to Mazabuka section which is part of the Kazungula Bridge Project,Package 4. The Government of the Republic of Zambia with financing from the African Development Bank awarded the contract for the project which aims to undertake rehabilitation of the existing road which starts at Chikankata turnoff, and ends at Mazabuka. The contract was signed at the head quarters of the Road Development Agency of the Republic of Zambia on March 3rd, 2020 in the presence of the Directors of the consortium members.

Since UNRA is the executive agency of road projects in Uganda, the Managing Director of TACT ENGINEERING GROUP PLC together with Eng. Ricardo Sousa of Maccaferri Africa held a technical presentation to more than 25 Engineers of the Uganda National Roads Authority at their premise located in UAP, Nakawa Buisiness Park, Kampala , Uganda. The presentation was also attended by Head of UNRA's Design Department and Network Planning & Engineering department heads. During the presentation , Managing Director Eng. Essayas Dessalegn , gave detailed presentation on the merits of steel structures on enhanced highway infrastructures while Eng. Ricardo Sousa gave a detailed training on the use of Macafferri's design softwares for the best engineering solutions to Geotechnical issues.

As one of the prominent stake holders in Uganda and as the only umbrella body in Uganda that brings together genuine players in the construction industry with over 150 members, TACT Engineering Group and its partner Maccaferri Africa held detailed discussions with the Executive Director at their head office. Disucssions focused on future collaboration and creating awareness for the contracors in Uganda regarding latest technologies on Geotechnical products as well as utilization of steel structures of ARMCO for better roads. Accordingly TACT Engineering Group PLC partnered to sponsor the annual event held at the Kingdom of Kampala hotel which was attended by more than 150 delegates from different companies. The even turned out to be one such a grand gathering that enabled members to exchange views and information with other key stakeholders in the construction industry. It was a reflection that such forums will serve as a high-quality platform that inspires ideas and discussions on ways through which we can make our mighty construction industry a better one.

TACT Engineering through its previous encounter with the executive director of KCCA , Eng. Andrew Kitaka made prior appointments to arrange the training program for their engineers and the same has been facilitated at their premise located at the City Hall of Kampala, Uganda. During the presentations with Engineer Ricardo Sousa of Macafferri Africa also presented the technical presentations on Geotechnical Engineering Solutions and about different Engineering design softwares for better Geotechnical solutions.

UACE (Uganda Association of Consulting Engineers) is an umbrella of 31 member Consulting Engineerig firms employing up to 200 consulting engineers collectively.
